One of Crunchyroll’s best new gen shonen anime shares first look at season 2

Polygon · 3 hours ago

Gachiakuta, one of the standout new shonen anime series to premiere last year, has confirmed that its second season is officially in production, with a first-look promotional teaser released via the show's official YouTube channel. The brief clip previews the upcoming Information Broker arc, in which the Cleaners and rival group the Raiders compete to gather intelligence on a mysterious item, and features glimpses of key characters including Rudo, Enjin and Amo.

The first season, produced by Bones Film and based on Kei Urana's manga running in Weekly Shonen Magazine since February 2022, aired from July to December 2025 and adapted the story up to chapter 87 of a source material that now exceeds 170 chapters. No release date has been set for season two, though given Bones' typical turnaround on other projects such as My Hero Academia, a 2027 debut is considered plausible. The series follows Rudo, a wrongly exiled boy who joins the Cleaners, a group that fights Trash Beasts, after discovering his own supernatural powers.
