‘One-Punch Man’ Vol. 37 Rises to No. 1 on Japan Book Hot 100

ONE and Yusuke Murata’s One-Punch Man Vol. 37 has reached No. 1 on Billboard Japan’s Book Hot 100 after its digital edition was released on 17 July. The result highlights how e-book availability can quickly boost manga chart performance, while the volume also remained in the physical-sales top 10.

Shangri-La Frontier Vol. 27 entered at No. 2, while Daemons of the Shadow Realm Vol. 13 rose to No. 3 and led physical shops. Paperback publication helped Yuu Nagira’s Hoshi wo Amu reach No. 8, and recent Naoki and Akutagawa Prize winners Kengwai and Zombie Kaishufu climbed to Nos. 30 and 40 respectively. The chart combines physical and digital sales, library loans, subscriptions and social-media activity for 13–19 July.
