Warwick Davis will return to the Harry Potter world in HBO’s television adaptation, reprising Professor Flitwick, a character he played in the original films. He said the role was one of his career favourites and described Flitwick as a warm, likeable teacher; Davis called the invitation to return an honour.

The series is scheduled to begin with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on 25 December 2026, with eight episodes planned. The new cast includes Dominic McLaughlin as Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermione and Alastair Stout as Ron, alongside established actors in adult roles. Davis is among the few performers carrying over from the film franchise.
