Ospreys sign former Australia wing Koroibete

BBC Sport · 6 hours ago

Ospreys have signed former Australia wing Marika Koroibete for the 2026-27 United Rugby Championship season, adding an experienced international player to their squad. The move matters because it continues the Swansea-based club’s recruitment of Australian talent and is intended to strengthen both their attacking threat and the development of younger players.

The 34-year-old arrives after five seasons with Japan’s Panasonic Wild Knights and won 63 caps for Australia, scoring 20 tries and appearing at the 2019 and 2023 World Cups. Koroibete is Ospreys’ fourth Australian signing of the summer, alongside Liam Wright, Lalakai Foketi and Lawson Creighton; he could also become eligible to represent Fiji before next year’s World Cup in Australia.
