## Key points

- Russini is reportedly launching a digital show next week.
- She resigned from The Athletic in April.
- The move follows scrutiny over photos with Mike Vrabel.

## Summary

Dianna Russini is reportedly returning to sports journalism next week with her own show on a digital platform, seven months after resigning from The Athletic. The move would bring the former NFL insider back to work after her departure became linked to public scrutiny of her interactions with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel.

An industry source said the show has been in development for some time, but gave no details about Russini’s pay or the platform. Russini, 43, worked at ESPN from 2015 to 2023 before joining The Athletic; she resigned on 14 April after photos of her and Vrabel at an Arizona resort prompted speculation, which both described as an innocent interaction. Vrabel later said he had difficult conversations with his family and was seeking counselling.
