Starz has released a trailer for the second season of “Outlander: Blood of My Blood”, showing Claire and Jamie Fraser’s parents separated again as the Jacobite Uprising forces the Scottish Highlands to choose sides. The prequel expands the wider “Outlander” story by following both generations of parents through political conflict, family loyalties and attempts to reunite.

The season premieres on 18 September, with new episodes streaming weekly on Fridays on Starz. Brian Fraser and Murtagh return to Castle Leathers to support Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, while Ellen MacKenzie tries to shield her clan amid divisions between her brothers; meanwhile, time-travellers Henry and Julia Beauchamp are separated after a failed attempt to return to their daughter Claire. The series stars Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater, and is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
