Starz has unveiled the first trailer for the second season of Outlander: Blood of My Blood, its Outlander prequel. The new series of episodes will move into 18th-century Scotland during the 1715 Jacobite Rising, placing its central couples amid war, divided clans and changing loyalties.

Season 2 begins on 18 September, with weekly Friday releases on Starz. Brian Fraser and Murtagh are drawn back to Castle Leathers and Lord Lovat’s cause, while Ellen MacKenzie tries to protect her clan as her brothers disagree over the rebellion; Claire’s parents, Henry and Julia Beauchamp, are separated again after their attempt to return home fails.
