The operators of Café Wha?, an iconic Greenwich Village music club that has operated since the late 1960s, are expanding their footprint with a new intimate performance space. Bleecker Bell, a 200-seat venue opening this autumn at a nearby location, will be developed in collaboration with Village Presents, the same promotion company that handles the original club's programming.

True to the founding venue's legendary history of launching careers for artists like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, the new space will programme folk, Americana, jazz, and rock acts. The venue's design incorporates full-service bar amenities, varied seating arrangements, and a mezzanine level overlooking the stage, positioning it as an intimate setting for discovering emerging talent in a neighbourhood synonymous with live music heritage.
