OzzFest Is Back: Festival Confirms Venue For 2027 Edition in Ozzy Osbourne’s Hometown

Billboard · 2 hours ago

OzzFest, the rock and metal festival founded by Sharon Osbourne in 1996, has been confirmed to return in 2027, with Villa Park in Birmingham announced as the venue. This marks the festival's revival following the death of Ozzy Osbourne in 2025, and comes after Sharon had spoken openly about wanting to bring back an event she described as central to Ozzy's legacy of championing new talent. The location carries strong personal significance, as it is close to Ozzy's childhood home in Aston and the city where he co-founded Black Sabbath.

Villa Park, a 42,000-capacity stadium, previously hosted Back to the Beginning in July 2025, the farewell show for both Ozzy and Black Sabbath, which featured tribute performances from acts including Metallica, Slayer and Yungblud. OzzFest ran annually from 1996 until 2008 across the US and Europe before continuing sporadically, last taking place in 2018 in Inglewood, California. No dates or lineup have yet been announced, though Sharon previously confirmed negotiations with Live Nation were under way.
