The Hollywood Reporter · 2 hours ago

Several television series that have already been cancelled by their networks and streamers nonetheless received nominations at the 2026 Emmy Awards, announced on Wednesday morning. Among them were the Apple TV comedy Palm Royale, the Peacock mystery Poker Face, and titles including Ponies, Stumble and Gen V, demonstrating that critical and craft recognition can arrive even after a show's future has been curtailed.

Palm Royale, starring Kristen Wiig, Carol Burnett and Laura Dern, was cancelled in March after its second season yet secured eight nominations, largely in craft categories such as production design, costumes and stunt work. Poker Face, dropped by Peacock after two seasons, earned a stunt coordination nod, while Ponies, Stumble and the Prime Video spin-off Gen V also featured. Elsewhere, The Pitt led all shows with 25 nominations, ahead of Hacks on 24. The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will air on Monday 14 September from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
