- Her tenure included major hits and costly box-office failures.

## Summary

Pamela Abdy has made her first public industry appearance since leaving Warner Bros., saying she is taking a break and spending more time with her daughter. Her departure followed the Skydance merger announcement, ending her tenure as co-chair and CEO of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group with producing partner Michael De Luca.

Abdy said she has not decided what to do next and wants to keep working with leading filmmakers; she did not comment on whether the merged company can release 30 films a year. At Warner Bros., she oversaw hits and award-winning films including “Barbie”, “Sinners” and “Dune: Part Two”; the studio won 11 Academy Awards from 30 nominations last year, though some big-budget releases lost money.
