- It draws on unreleased footage and FBI documents.
- Belfort served 22 months in prison before becoming an informant.

## Summary

The three-part documentary series *The Real Wolf of Wall Street*, about broker Jordan Belfort, has been acquired by the BBC in the UK and Stan in Australia. The deals bring the Paramount+ production to two new markets and promise a closer account of Belfort’s story than the 2013 film.

The series uses unreleased footage, thousands of internal FBI documents and archival interviews, including contributions from Belfort’s former wife Nadine and former employee Donna Schlessinger. Belfort led brokers at Stratton Oakmont in the 1990s, pleaded guilty to fraud and stock market manipulation, served 22 months in prison, and later became an FBI informant.
