The trend matters because it has turned entry into Greek life into a costly, organised process resembling private academic admissions coaching.

Consultants offer tailored help such as CV preparation, recommendation letters, interview-style conversation practice, social-media tidying and simulated recruitment events. Trisha Addicks charges $6,500 for unlimited support, while Jennifer Carabetta charges $1,500; both say they also help families manage anxiety during recruitment, although coaching provides no guarantee of joining a preferred sorority.
