‘Party Rock Anthem’ singer dead at 36

Fox News · 2 hours ago

Lauren Bennett, the British singer known for featuring on LMFAO's global hit "Party Rock Anthem" and as a founding member of the girl group G.R.L., has died at the age of 36. Her death was reported by the BBC and confirmed by her former bandmates and her father, marking the loss of a performer who reached international success in the early 2010s.

Bennett died on 29 May in Meopham, Kent, about an hour outside London, with an inquest scheduled for October and the circumstances not immediately clear. Her father, Richard, said she had suffered a "severe reaction" to a prescribed medication months earlier and voiced "deep disappointment" that NHS services had, in his words, "failed to treat her appropriately" over a five-month period, while stressing the family had no suspicions about her death. G.R.L. paid tribute on Instagram, and her father noted she is survived by her daughter.
