Peacock is raising prices across all of its streaming plans

TechCrunch · 1 hour ago

Peacock has become the latest major streaming service to raise its subscription prices, joining rivals such as Netflix and HBO Max in pushing costs higher for consumers. The increases apply across all three of its tiers and take effect immediately for new and returning subscribers, though existing customers get a short grace period before the higher rates kick in.

The ad-supported "Select" plan rises from $7.99 to $8.99 a month, "Premium" increases from $10.99 to $12.99, and the ad-free "Premium Plus" tier jumps from $16.99 to $19.99. The changes apply from 18 August for new sign-ups, while current subscribers won't be charged the new rates until their first billing date after 17 September; annual subscribers and those on active promotions keep their existing pricing until those deals expire. This marks Peacock's fourth price rise in four years, following its most recent increase in July 2025, and comes despite the service reporting its first-ever profitable quarter last month, with subscriber numbers reaching 48 million.
