Peacock Just Raised Its Prices for the Fourth Straight Year
Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, has raised prices across all three of its subscription tiers, marking the fourth consecutive year it has become more expensive. The increase, which took effect on 18 August 2026 for new and returning subscribers, comes just over a year after Peacock's last price rise in July 2025, continuing a pattern of annual hikes stretching back to 2023. It follows moves by rivals including Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV and Paramount+, which have also raised prices in recent years as streaming firms seek more sustainable business models.
Peacock Select rises from $7.99 to $8.99 a month, Peacock Premium from $10.99 to $12.99, and Premium Plus from $16.99 to $19.99, with existing customers seeing the change from 17 September depending on their billing date. The rise comes shortly after Peacock posted its first-ever quarterly profit, recording $189 million in adjusted EBITDA in the second quarter of 2026, alongside two million new subscribers taking its total to 48 million, subscription revenue up more than 50%, and advertising revenue up nearly 70%.
