## Summary

Bassist Jeff Ament says Pearl Jam are still searching for a drummer and hope to play shows next year. He says the band is not rushing the appointment, but wants to perform while its members are still physically able to tour.

Matt Cameron left in July 2025 after 27 years, saying Pearl Jam’s three-hour shows and constant touring had become difficult; he now wants to focus on 70-minute sets. The band has played with guest drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. but has not named a permanent replacement, and currently has no live dates announced.
