Pedro Pascal praised Tony Gilroy’s film *Behemoth!* as an intimate, healing drama after its world premiere at the New York Film Festival. Pascal said he had expected Gilroy, whom he saw as an intimidating intellectual, to be “kinda mean”, but found an unexpected emotional quality in the film.
Pascal stars as Alex Serian, a former child-prodigy cellist who returns to Los Angeles to compose film scores and reconnect with his family. Gilroy wrote and directed the film, which also features Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Will Arnett, Hank Azaria, Margarita Levieva and Matthew Lillard; it is due in cinemas on 4 December.
