Amazon has ordered a television adaptation of Benjamin Stevenson’s murder mystery novel “Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone”, starring and executive produced by Penn Badgley. The darkly comic series will follow a family reunion in rural Vermont that turns deadly after a body is found during a snowstorm, adding another high-profile mystery role to Badgley’s television career.

David Hemingson, known for “The Holdovers”, will adapt the book and act as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Made Up Stories, Fifth Season, Badgley and Stevenson. The novel, first published in 2022 and part of the Ernest Cunningham series, had previously been developed for HBO in 2022 but did not proceed; Amazon’s version has not yet announced a release date.
