Pereira’s sister Aline to fight for UFC contract
Aline Pereira, sister of UFC two-weight champion Alex Pereira, will fight for a UFC contract on Dana White's Contender Series in Las Vegas on 13 October. A win over Swedish prospect Smilla Sundell would make her the latest sibling of a UFC star to enter the promotion, following in the footsteps of pairs such as Nick and Nate Diaz, though sister-brother combinations remain rare.
Pereira, 35, holds a 3-2 MMA record with all three wins by decision, and will face the undefeated Sundell, a Muay Thai champion with ONE Championship, in a bantamweight bout. The Brazilian previously had a successful kickboxing career before moving to MMA in 2022, stepping away in 2023 after a rocky start, then finding form in the Karate Combat League with a 3-0 run and a title win. She returned to MMA in late 2025, training under brother Alex, whose own recent UFC run included a loss to Ciryl Gane in June.
