Atlus has clarified that Aika Nakamura, a newly introduced character in the upcoming Persona 4 Revival remake, will be a location-episode character rather than a full social link. The correction came after the English version of an official broadcast on 19 September mistakenly referred to her as a "new social link character," prompting Atlus to issue a clarification on 24 September. This distinction matters because social links are more substantial story elements with greater impact on gameplay and narrative, whilst location episodes function as lighter side quests similar to those in Persona 3 Reload.

Aika is the daughter of local Chinese restaurant owners and a classmate of the main cast, with her story involving an investigation into Inaba's past. Although this will mark her first in-game appearance, she is not entirely new to the Persona 4 universe; she was referenced in Persona 4 Golden (2012) but never appeared playably, and subsequently made minor appearances in the series' animated adaptations. Persona 4 Revival will launch on 18 February 2027 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving on 20 May 2027.
