Phil Collins opens up about the chances of releasing new music: “There are some things I could finish. And other things which are finished”
Phil Collins has said he will not rule out releasing new music, despite having ended his live performing career after Genesis’s 2022 reunion tour. In a new interview, he said he has unfinished material as well as completed tracks, suggesting that recording or releasing work remains possible even if returning to the stage does not.
Collins has faced serious health problems in recent years, including nerve damage, difficulty walking and alcohol addiction that led to hospitalisation in 2024. Genesis’s The Last Domino? tour concluded in March 2022, marking what was presented as his final live appearance, but his comments indicate his musical career may not be entirely over.
