Phil Rosenthal will release a special “Somebody Feed Phil” episode about his Los Angeles diner, Max and Helen’s, on YouTube on 27 July. The episode marks the show’s shift from Netflix to YouTube and is intended to maintain audience interest before its ninth season arrives in early 2027.

Rosenthal opened the Larchmont diner with chef Nancy Silverton in November 2025, naming it after his parents; it has drawn favourable reviews and long queues. “Somebody Feed Phil” ran for eight Netflix seasons between 2018 and 2025, while future short- and long-form episodes will appear on the Phil Rosenthal World YouTube channel under a deal involving Banijay and Rosenthal’s Lucky Bastards production company.
