Collider · 3 hours ago

Walt Disney Records has announced the first-ever vinyl release of Hans Zimmer's score for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, giving fans a new collectible tied to the franchise while they continue to await news of its cinematic future. The soundtrack will be pressed on vintage "Bottle Clear" vinyl, with pre-orders now open ahead of its release next month.

The album arrives on 25 September 2026, marking the 2006 sequel's score in a new physical format. Dead Man's Chest itself was a huge commercial success on release, taking more than $1.06 billion worldwide to become the highest-grossing film of that year and the first Pirates of the Caribbean instalment to pass the billion-dollar mark. The film follows Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann as they race to find the mystical Dead Man's Chest after Jack discovers he owes a blood debt to the supernatural Davy Jones.
