Plimsoll Unveils Studios Rebrand & Rejigs With U.S. Chief Alan Eyres Overseeing Creative Divisions

Deadline · 4 hours ago

Plimsoll Productions, the production company behind "Skyscraper Live", is rebranding as Plimsoll Studios and restructuring its creative operations, with US chief Alan Eyres relocating from Los Angeles to Bristol to take on a new leadership role. The move, revealed exclusively by Deadline, reflects the ITV Studios-owned company's ambition to expand beyond its natural history roots into live events, entertainment, family content and digital, broadening its output as competition for audience attention intensifies in an on-demand market.

Under the new structure, Plimsoll will operate through five divisions: Natural History & Adventure, Live, Entertainment, Family & Kids, and Digital, with the latter two being newly created. Eyres becomes Chief Development Officer, overseeing the company's development slate, while Alex Ranken and Ged Mansfield lead the family unit and Aardman's Neil Warwick joins to head digital, building on growth he drove at Aardman's YouTube business. Founder and CEO Grant Mansfield praised Eyres's work on titles such as "Skyscraper Live" and "Pompeii: Out of Time", and the digital division will work alongside ITV Studios' Zoo 55 and Studio 55 operations to exploit Plimsoll's growing catalogue of IP.
