P!NK has issued a lengthy statement responding to backlash over her earlier repost of a StopAntisemitism advocacy post criticising Macklemore's onstage call for a free Palestine at Ed Sheeran's show. She clarified that the repost used someone else's words rather than her own, but stood by the underlying concerns it reflected, saying she believes "protecting innocent life comes first" and drawing on her decade-long role as a UNICEF ambassador to children affected by conflict on both sides.

In her statement, P!NK said her reaction was shaped by a 2014 incident in which Macklemore wore what she called a stereotypical Jewish costume at the Grammys, for which he later apologised. She reaffirmed views she first expressed in October 2023, calling Hamas a terrorist organisation while insisting Palestinians deserve a dignified future, and pushed back on people using the term "Zionist" as an insult against her. She said she was not criticising the phrase "Free Palestine" itself, invited critics to ask her directly what she believes, and closed by marking the 25th anniversary of 11 September and the approach of the Jewish sundown holiday.
