PNOĒ is preparing to launch the PNOĒ 2.0, a self-administered face mask designed to make laboratory-style breath testing available in gyms and potentially pharmacies. Users would wear the mask and breathe normally for eight minutes, while the device measures oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide exhalation, then provides guidance on diet, training and general health.

The company says the test records 23 biomarkers, including VO₂ max, resting metabolic rate and metabolic flexibility. Metabolic testing has traditionally required costly, bulky equipment and trained operators, limiting its use mainly to hospitals, sports laboratories and elite wellness programmes. The smaller device has detachable electronics and a reusable silicone mask system, allowing the hardware to be shared while users retain individual masks.
