A video has emerged showing Glen Hansard performing in a Dublin pub roughly an hour before he died in a motorcycle crash. The footage has drawn attention because it captures the Oscar-winning Irish singer-songwriter shortly before his sudden death at the age of 56.

Hansard was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Lucan, west Dublin, shortly before 4.30am on Wednesday and was pronounced dead after treatment at the scene. He won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘Falling Slowly’ from *Once*, co-written with Markéta Irglová, and was also known as the frontman of The Frames.
