Google has launched a Pokémon Sleep edition of its Fitbit Air tracker, designed to work directly with the Pokémon Sleep mobile game and give the tiny wearable a themed makeover. The device lets players monitor their rest while collecting Pokémon based on how they sleep, extending the franchise's decade-long strategy of blending its games with real-world activity, following titles such as Pokémon Go and Pokémon Pokopia.

The 5.2-gram tracker is built for round-the-clock wear and includes an optical heart-rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope, SpO2 sensors and a skin-temperature sensor, storing seven days of detailed motion data and up to 30 days of daily totals on a battery that lasts about a week. Aside from its Pokémon Sleep branding, it is functionally identical to the standard Fitbit Air and costs $129.99, with preorders now open. Separately, leaks have surfaced from the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Pokémon Winds and Waves, including unfinished inventory art and possible final evolutions for its three starter Pokémon.
