Police launch murder probe after man, 28, is stabbed to death on Islington millionaire’s row

Police have opened a murder investigation after a 28-year-old man was stabbed on Lloyd Baker Street in Clerkenwell, north London. Emergency services attended at about 11.20pm on Wednesday, but the victim died in hospital the following day; no arrests have been made.

Detectives are seeking witnesses, while the victim’s family is being supported by specially trained officers and tributes have been left at the scene. The street includes homes sold for up to £2.25 million, and enhanced stop-and-search powers are in place across Caledonian Road, Clerkenwell and Hoxton until Saturday morning.
