Poppy explained via social media that the Air Quality Index had exceeded 350 at the time of her set, a level classified as hazardous where all individuals face health risks. She stated she was unable to breathe safely under those conditions and therefore could not join her band on stage. The festival organisers had previously communicated to attendees that safety was their priority and that they were monitoring conditions with local officials. This marks the second occasion this summer where extreme weather or air quality forced Poppy to miss or significantly alter a scheduled performance.
