Billboard published a retrospective list of 25 notable chart-hitting collaborations by Dolly Parton, released following her death on 25 August. The piece traces her collaborative history from her earliest duet with Porter Wagoner in 1967 through to her final lifetime release, "Son of Jolene" with Belles, in May, illustrating the breadth of artists she worked with across country, bluegrass, dance, R&B/hip-hop and rock over nearly six decades.

Highlights include 13 Hot Country Songs top 10s with Porter Wagoner, including the No. 1 "Please Don't Stop Loving Me" in 1974; her chart-topping "Islands in the Stream" with Kenny Rogers, plus other joint hits with him; and the all-female supergroup Trio with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris, whose 1987 album reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and won a Grammy. Parton appeared on charts with more than 60 collaborators in total, ranging from Sabrina Carpenter's 2025 remix of "Please Please Please" to earlier pairings with Kathy Mattea, Billy Ray Cyrus and others on the 1993 hit "Romeo".
