Netflix has struck a major licensing deal with Lionsgate Television to stream the first four instalments of Starz's "Power" franchise, marking a significant expansion beyond Starz's usual exclusivity. Netflix has acquired non-exclusive international rights to "Power", "Power Book II: Ghost", "Power Book III: Raising Kanan" and "Power Book IV: Force", along with domestic US rights to the original series, though Starz will continue to hold these shows on its own platforms too. The move follows the breakout success of "Nemesis", a Netflix original from "Power" creator Courtney Kemp, and reflects the streamer's growing appetite for established franchise content.

The series will begin arriving on Netflix in early November, with rollout timing varying by market according to Lionsgate's existing local agreements, though Canada is excluded as the franchise remains on Starz there via Bell Media. The deal covers all six seasons of "Power", four of "Ghost", three of "Force" and five of "Raising Kanan", while newer spin-offs "Power: Origins" and "Power: Legacy" are not included and will remain exclusive to Starz. The mothership series will also move to Netflix from Hulu, where it had streamed in the US since 2017. Kemp continues to executive produce the franchise alongside Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and the deal follows a similar pattern to Lionsgate's 2025 licensing of "Hightown" and "The Hunting Wives" to Netflix, the latter of which became a major hit.
