Ghost and Tommy’s younger selves revealed for Power: Origins

Starz has unveiled first-look images and a teaser for "Power: Origins," the fourth spinoff in its "Power" franchise, revealing the actors who will play younger versions of Ghost and Tommy. The reveal comes ahead of the series finale of "Power Book III: Raising Kanan," continuing the franchise's expansion with a prequel exploring how its central characters rose to prominence.
Spence Moore will play young Ghost and Charlie Mann will play young Tommy, taking over roles originated by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora, while Mekai Curtis reprises his role as young Kanan. The 18-episode series, created by Courtney A. Kemp and Sascha Penn and produced by Lionsgate Television for Starz, is currently filming in New Jersey and will be followed by another new spinoff, "Power: Legacy," starring Joseph Sikora and Michael Rainey Jr. "Raising Kanan" concludes its fifth season on 7 August on Starz.

Power is a US crime drama franchise centred on people involved in New York’s illegal drug trade, and the complicated choices they make as they seek money, influence and legitimacy. It began with the series Power, which followed James “Ghost” St Patrick, a nightclub owner with a secret criminal life, and his close friend Tommy Egan.
Ghost and Tommy were originally played by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora. Kanan Stark, played in the original series by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, was an important and often hostile figure in their world; Mekai Curtis plays a younger Kanan in the prequel Raising Kanan.
Power: Origins is set earlier than the original programme and will focus on Ghost and Tommy when they were younger. It is one of several related series made for Starz, which have explored different periods and characters from the same fictional world.
