Pragda Snags Nicolás Pereda’s ‘Everything Else Is Noise’ Ahead of Toronto and New York Film Festival Premieres (EXCLUSIVE)
Pragda has acquired North American rights to Nicolás Pereda’s comedy-drama “Everything Else Is Noise” ahead of its premieres at the Toronto and New York film festivals. The deal marks a further move into theatrical and digital distribution for the US-based company, previously known for academic licensing and cultural programming of Ibero-American cinema.
The film, which premiered in Berlin and won the Grand Prix at Buenos Aires’ BAFICI festival, centres on a cellist whose home interview with another composer descends into comic chaos. Pragda has also secured Pereda’s nearly 20-film catalogue for North American theatrical, educational and digital releases, including the Venice Horizons winner “Summer of Goliath”.
