## Key points

- England have limited time to prepare for Australia.
- The Wallabies have played 10 Tests since July.
- Borthwick says England need to improve at the breakdown.

## Summary

England head coach Steve Borthwick says limited preparation time is a challenge ahead of the Test against Australia on 8 November. England’s players must split their time between international training and Premiership commitments, while Australia have had a longer run of Test matches together.

Borthwick said England focused on a small number of priorities during a three-day camp and expects players to return fitter after playing for their clubs. He also highlighted the breakdown as an area where England must adapt: recent European fixtures showed English clubs winning less opposition ball and losing more of their own than teams from other nations.
