Fox is reviving *Baywatch* as a potential successor to its former emergency-services hit *9-1-1*, and Prime Video has secured streaming rights in numerous international markets. The reboot links directly to the original series by casting Stephen Amell as an adult Hobie Buchannon, the son of David Hasselhoff’s former lead character Mitch Buchannon.

The 12-episode first season is due to air on Fox in January 2027, although no precise date has been announced. Prime Video will carry it in territories including Canada, much of Europe, Latin America and India, alongside the full original *Baywatch* catalogue; Sky will show it in the UK and Ireland, while Hulu has US streaming rights after Fox broadcasts.
