The first graphic-novel adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ bestselling fantasy novel Fourth Wing is due to be released on 6 April 2027. The announcement expands the fast-growing Empyrean franchise as Amazon MGM Studios continues developing a Prime Video television adaptation, following the end of Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time.

Volume One will adapt chapters 1–22, roughly the first half of the 2023 novel, and will be sold in several cover editions with the same interior story. Fourth Wing follows Violet Sorrengail, a 20-year-old forced into a dangerous dragon-rider training programme, while war intensifies and she begins to question her kingdom’s leadership; the five-book series has so far continued with Iron Flame and Onyx Storm.
