## Summary

Skyler Gisondo says playing aspiring actor Dan in Lance Oppenheim’s satirical thriller *Primetime* pushed him well beyond his comfort zone. The role follows Dan as he takes work as a decoy for Chris Hansen on *To Catch a Predator*, then confronts the disturbing reality of an exploitative operation; Gisondo calls it the most challenging and rewarding work of his career.

Gisondo initially doubted whether he could handle the part, but his performance earned him a Gotham Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Performance, the film’s only acting nomination. He also reflects on working with Oppenheim, returning to comedy in *Focker-In-Law*, and the future of his role as Jimmy Olsen after *Superman*.
