Dinosaurs of the Wild West Kickstarter launched by Primitive War team

Collider · 8 hours ago

The team behind the film Primitive War has announced a new project, Dinosaurs of the Wild West, a series that reimagines the American frontier as a place where humans and dinosaurs coexist. A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to fund the project launches today, marking the return of the creatives responsible for the earlier dinosaur-driven film.

Whereas Primitive War placed dinosaurs incongruously into the Vietnam War, the new series envisions a world in which people and dinosaurs have lived alongside one another for generations, working together to tame the West. The trailer shows large herbivores such as sauropods, ceratopsians and stegosaurs used as pack animals, a scout flying on a pterosaur, and a cowboy riding a Tyrannosaurus, with narration by Cobra Kai's Jesse Kove warning of looming danger. The Kickstarter will fund the first two episodes, with stretch goals intended to finance the rest of the series.
