The Old House, the former West Sussex country retreat of Princess Margaret and her husband Lord Snowdon, has been put up for sale for the first time in its history, with an asking price of around $5.3 million. The property carries strong royal and cultural significance, having been a private countryside escape for the late princess and her husband during their marriage, and its sale marks the end of decades of private family ownership.

The cottage dates back to 1481 and is located in West Sussex. It was gifted to Lord Snowdon, born Antony Armstrong-Jones, by his uncle, the renowned theatre and film designer Oliver Messel, before Snowdon's marriage to Princess Margaret. The home is now listed with Blue Book Agency.
