Producer Manny Halley’s Imani Media Group has secured a long-term lease for Pacoima Studios in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, rebranding the facility as Imani Studio. The move gives Halley a permanent production base and comes as other sound-stage operators reduce their Los Angeles footprint, highlighting the competition to retain film and television work in California.

Halley holds a 25-year lease, with an option to buy, covering four sound stages totalling 125,000 square feet on a six-acre campus; the land remains owned by Rexford Industrial Realty. He plans to invest up to $5 million in upgrades, including virtual-production LED walls and XR stages, while retaining the existing workforce. The studio has hosted productions including RuPaul’s Drag Race, MaXXXine, Physical and Atlas, and has projects for Amazon, Fox and BET forthcoming.
