## Summary

Prong’s 2026 self-titled album continues the New York band’s distinctive blend of thrash, punk, industrial metal and melody. The review argues that guitarist Tommy Victor’s consistent musical vision remains compelling after four decades, and that the band does not need to reinvent its sound to stay vital.

Victor is joined by bassist Christopher Dean and drummer Tyler Joseph on a record praised for its tight playing, forceful riffs and varied grooves. The tracks range from the fast, thrashy “New Commission” to the more melodic “Uncertain Truth”; the review calls the album one of Prong’s finest.
