PSB iQ2 review: Premium sound meets smart-speaker convenience
PSB’s $1,399 iQ2 is a wireless stereo speaker system that aims to combine hi-fi sound with the convenience of modern streaming and multi-room audio. The review finds that it succeeds largely through confident, spacious sound, flexible placement and a polished control app, making it a capable central hub for home listening without relying on voice assistants.
The compact bookshelf-style speakers are available in seven colours and communicate wirelessly with one another, although each still needs mains power. Connectivity is extensive, including HDMI eARC, phono/line, optical, USB-A, USB-C, Bluetooth aptX Adaptive and AirPlay; the main omission is a 3.5mm socket. Engadget awarded the iQ2 8/10, praising its audio, app and inputs while noting its premium price and disappointing phono performance.
- Premium wireless stereo speakers with broad connectivity and strong sound.
- BluOS app makes setup and multi-room control notably polished.
- High price and weak phono input limit its appeal.
