A judge confirmed via immigration data that he had left the country and issued an arrest order, while police released his mugshot publicly. Court records show Gallagher's bail undertaking, entered on 28 December, required good behaviour, no contact with Cameron or witnesses, abstinence from alcohol and drugs, and compliance with an apprehended violence order — but included no restriction on international travel. He is also wanted in Ireland after allegedly assaulting a man in Dungloe in August 2022 and then failing to appear at an Irish court in April 2025, resulting in a separate arrest warrant. Judge Janine Lacy convicted Gallagher in absentia of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and intentional choking, after hearing he had aggressively suffocated Cameron in bed on 27 December while their six-month-old child lay beside them.
