BBC Radio 2 presenter Owain Wyn Evans will cycle almost 400 miles through all four UK nations to raise money for BBC Children in Need. The five-day challenge will begin in Glasgow on 9 November and end in Cardiff on 13 November, when the fundraiser will be broadcast; the BBC says it will be the longest distance covered in a Radio 2 challenge for the charity.

Evans, originally from Ammanford, said the journey would push him beyond his comfort zone and acknowledged the achievements of presenters including Sara Cox, Paddy McGuinness and Vernon Kay. Sports scientist Professor Greg Whyte will support him, while Alex Jones is the only other presenter from the 2026 television fundraising team to have been announced so far.
