## Key points

- The Rams have 10 days between games around Thanksgiving.
- Kelly Stafford says the schedule denies them a true bye week.
- Matthew Stafford has earned about $400 million in his career.

## Summary

Kelly Stafford criticised the NFL’s schedule because the Los Angeles Rams will play on Thanksgiving Eve, leaving them 10 days between games rather than a full two-week bye. Her comments draw attention to how the league schedules rest, though the article also notes that some readers may be less sympathetic given her husband Matthew Stafford’s earnings and career.

Stafford, 37, wrote on Instagram that even after 18 years around the league she needed a break, and said she felt tired watching from the stands. The column says Matthew has earned about $400 million over his career and recalls him joking that Kelly chooses to travel to games. The article also includes unrelated commentary on politics, television and a Christmas beer.
