## Key points

- Baltimore plans to keep Derrick Henry through the trade deadline.
- The Giants asked about backup Justice Hill, not Henry.
- Quarterback injuries have contributed to the Ravens’ four-game losing streak.

## Summary

Baltimore has no interest in trading running back Derrick Henry before Tuesday’s NFL deadline, despite speculation fuelled by the Ravens’ losing run and serious quarterback injuries. The decision keeps the 32-year-old with a team trying to turn its season around, while the Giants’ reported call to Baltimore was about backup Justice Hill.

Hill has rushed for 240 yards on 33 carries, averaging 7.3 yards per carry, and could interest the Giants as Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy deal with injuries. The Ravens have lost four straight and were outscored 104-33 across their past three games; Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley are both sidelined, leaving recently acquired Jacoby Brissett expected to start. Henry says he has not asked to leave and wants the team to improve, though he is averaging 3.9 yards per carry this season.
