‘Reacher’ Gets Early Season 6 Renewal Shortly After Season 4 Wraps With 66M Viewers In 28 Days

Deadline · 1 hour ago

Prime Video has renewed the drama series Reacher for a sixth season, just 12 days after the Season 4 finale aired. This marks the first time the show has received two renewals within the same calendar year, having been greenlit for Season 5 just four months earlier. The rapid succession of renewals allows the series, developed by Nick Santora and based on Lee Child's thriller novels, to maintain its yearly production schedule.

Season 4 of Reacher accumulated 66 million viewers globally within its first 28 days on Prime Video, surpassing the performance of Season 3 and defying recent downward trends in streaming viewership. More than half of the Season 4 audience (58%) was international, with particularly strong performance in the UK, Germany and Brazil, whilst the season achieved five consecutive weeks of over one billion minutes viewed in Nielsen's streaming rankings. Seasons 2, 4 and 3 rank as the most-viewed returning seasons of all time on Prime Video, with both Seasons 2 and 4 among the five most-viewed seasons of any original series on the platform.

  • Reacher renewed for Season 6 after Season 4 drew 66M viewers in 28 days
