‘Real Housewives’ Star Annemarie Wiley Files for Divorce From Marcellus Wiley, Alleges Pattern of Abuse

The Hollywood Reporter · 1 month ago

Annemarie Wiley, a former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has filed for divorce from her husband, ex-NFL player and broadcaster Marcellus Wiley, alleging years of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. The filing, lodged on Monday, matters because it escalates a series of public allegations against Marcellus Wiley and follows his arrest on a domestic violence charge over the American Independence Day weekend.

On Saturday 4 July, while the couple and their children were in Orlando for their son's basketball tournament, Annemarie called police to report an alleged battery at their hotel. Marcellus, 51, was arrested on a domestic violence battery charge and released on $1,000 bond, with an arraignment set for 4 August; he told officers there had never been violence between them and suggested his wife was motivated by the divorce. In her filing and requested restraining order, Annemarie, 42, alleges a monthly pattern of physical abuse, four rapes, financial control and threats to kill her. Marcellus, who played 10 NFL seasons before moving into broadcasting, has separately faced sexual assault accusations from multiple women since 2023 and has denied wrongdoing.
